Twenty-seventh Week in Ordinary Time

Dear my friends,
Here is the Gospel for us today according to Luke 11:1-4

He was praying in a certain place, and when he ceased, one of his disciples said to him, “Lord, teach us to pray, as John taught his disciples.” And he said to them, “When you pray, say: “Father, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come. Give us each day our daily bread; and forgive us our sins, for we ourselves forgive every one who is indebted to us; and lead us not into temptation.”

This is the Gospel of the Lord.
Praise to you Lord Jesus Christ.

JESUS Christ teaches us how to pray. He gives us the special prayer. We call it the Lord’s Prayer or Our Father. In this prayer,  Jesus Christ teaches us to address God as our Father and to confidently ask him for the things we need to live as his sons and daughters.

Thanks to the Lord that God treats each of us as his own sons and daughters. This prayer tells us that God is our eternally Father.  In Jesus Christ we are reborn and become the adopted children of God.

In the light of this prayer we then realize that we are all sisters and brothers in Jesus Christ. In his love we are ready to forgive others as well.

In the Perpetual Adoration of the Eucharist we adore Jesus Christ who teaches ua to approach God our Father with confidence. He has opened the way to heaven for us through his death and resurrection. There, we can pray with expectant faith and trust in the eternally Father.

Let’s pray: Our Father, who are in heaven, hallowed be you name; your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.
