Twenty-eighth Week in Ordinary Time

Dear my friends,
Here is the Gospel for us today according toLuke 12:8-12

Jesus says, “And I tell you, every one who acknowledges me before men, the Son of man also will acknowledge before the angels of God; but he who denies me before men will be denied before the angels of God. And every one who speaks a word against the Son of man will be forgiven; but he who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will not be  forgiven. And when they bring you before the synagogues and the rulers and the authorities, do not be anxious how or what you are to answer or what you are to say; for the Holy Spirit will teach you in that very hour what you ought to say.”

This is the Gospel of the Lord.
Praise to you Lord Jesus Christ.

THE Gospel today proclaims Jesus who assures his disciples that the Holy Spirit will give them what they need in their time of temptation. He warns them, the Holy Spirit will guide us.

It means that God gives sufficient grace and mercy towards us. God also gives sufficient help to all who humbly call upon him. God never turns a deaf ear to those who seek his help and listen to his voice.

In the Perpetual Adoration of the Eucharist while worshipping Jesus Christ we ask the love and mercy of Jesus Christ, the forgiveness of sins, and the gift of the Holy Spirit. These are freely given to all who acknowledge Jesus as their Lord and Savior.

Let’s pray: Lord Jesus Christ, you are our hope and salvation. May we never waver in our hope and trust in your merciful help and strength. Let the fire of your Holy Spirit burn in our heart. Fill us with a consuming love for you now and forever. Amen.
