FOR most Indonesians, Agnes Monica is not juts only a singer. But she is also an inspiring entertainer as well. She made her debut as public figure since early her childhood as co-host with Indra Bekti in Tra-la-la Tri-li-li entertaining program aired by Indosiar in 1996-ies.
Born in Jakarta on 1 July 1986 as a Chinese Indonesian ancestry, Agnes made her carrier in the entertaining industry at the age of six as a child singer. Later, her national reputation as artist was orchestrated when she has a significant role in the TV soap opera entitled Pernikahan Dini, rocketing her reputation as all-round figure in both music and acting industry.
Agnes is among other an Indonesian artist-cum-singer who has been obsessed with the dream to bring Indonesian figure to the international world. And she finally made it, as in 2005 she could appeared in two Taiwanese drama series.
Later, she also joined both 2008 and 2009 Asia Song Festival in Seoul, South Korea where she was awarded as the recipient of the Best Asian Artist Award. Another international reputation was last 2010’s recognition as Agnes was orchestrated as host on the red carpet for the American Music Award in LA, United States.
In this year, Agnes is once again considered as an Asian potential artist-cum-singer in Europe Music Award 2011.
