The Twenty-Seventh Week in Ordinary Time
Dear my friends,
Here is the Gospel for us today according to St. Luke 11:27-28
While Jesus was speaking, a woman from the crowd called out and said to him, “Blessed is the womb that carried you and the breasts at which you nursed.” He replied, “Rather, blessed are those who hear the word of God and observe it.”
This is the Gospel of the Lord. Praise to you Lord Jesus Christ.

YESTERDAY we commemorated Mother May, our Lady of the Rosary. The Gospel today helps us to understand about Mother Mary. Jesus Christ challenges us to imitate Mary.
Jesus’ saying, “Blessed are those who hear the word of God and observe it” above all is intended to Mother Mary. It is Mother Mary who has heard the word of God and observed it perfectly. She gave us an example of virtue in hearing the word of God and observing it.
Of course, God the Father wanted the best for his Son who became man in Jesus Christ. So, he gave him the best mother, Mother Mary who heard the word of God and observed it perfectly.
In the Perpetual Adoration of the Eucharist we adore Jesus Christ who gives us his best mother. In her life we see the best and perfect example of hearing the of God and observe it well. Do we want to be blessed as Mother Mary by hearing God’s word and observing it in our life?
Let’s pray: Lord Jesus Christ, you have already given us Mary to be our Mother. May she educate us too, to form us in all the virtues the way she formed them in you that we are able to hear God’s word and observe it well now and forever. Amen.
