Twenty-fourth Week in Ordinary Time
Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross

Dear my friends,
Here is the Gospel for us today according to St. John 3: 13-17

Jesus said to Nicodemus: “No one has gone up to heaven except the one who has come down from heaven, the Son of Man. And just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the desert, so must the Son of Man be lifted up, so that everyone who believes in him may have eternal life.” For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him might not perish but might have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through him.

This is the Gospel of the Lord. Praise to you Lord Jesus Christ.

TODAY is Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross. In the Gospel today, Jesus Christ reveals to us the beauty of the mystery of the Holy Cross. God’s love for the world and humanity is so present in his Holy Cross.

In his Holy Cross Jesus Christ gives us hope that the world can be changed by his message of love. In Jesus’ Holy Cross we experience the truth that God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him might not perish but might have eternal life. It is the perfect instrument of God’s love for us all.

In the Perpetual Adoration of the Eucharist, we adore Jesus Christ who saves us all by sacrificing himself as he was raised on a cross. He saves us from eternal death that we have eternal life. Yes indeed, He is our Savior and is greater than Moses. Do we realize how much God, the Father loves us?

Let’s pray: Lord Jesus Christ, exalt the cross in our mind and heart, that we might see it as an instrument of God’s love. Lord, you has loved us to the extreme of offering yourself up on the cross to save us from sin and death. We want to love you in return to the point of giving our lives for you in the Perpetual Adoration of the Eucharist now and forever. Amen.
