A Story
A child tells his mother that he fears being confronted by his father. Though his father loved him. Just the way his dad loved him was a little different. His father often forced him to do difficult things. According to his father, he should practice doing difficult things since childhood. Thus, he will grow into a strong and firm child in faith.
Sometimes the boy seemed hesitant in his life. He lacks a deep sense of self-confidence. He was always worried about his life. One day he said to his mother, “Mother, I want to be free from fear. I want to live, study and sleep peacefully and comfortably.”
He wants everything to be okay in his life. He wants to live this life sober, not too much compulsion over him. He does not want anxiety always haunt him. For him, living in that anxiety prevents people from doing something better.
The coveted atmosphere finally happened. His father no longer forced himself to do the hard things. His father only directed him to do his best for himself. The child grew and developed into a successful child in his life. Achievement for the achievement he achieved in the journey of his life. He finds a safe and happy atmosphere, because he believes his father can help him to live better.
Reflection
Often people have misperception about God. God is more often approached as imposing His will for human life. Though God gives freedom to people to do what they want. God does not prevent people from being creative in this life. Even God gives people freedom to do sin.
What is important to God is that people are able to direct their lives to salvation. What matters is when committing sin and guilt, people return to God. The trick is to feel sorry for sins and mistakes. People must repent by again accept God as the savior in their lives.
As believers, we have to create an atmosphere of freedom in faith in God. We should not feel compelled to live our life of faith. Why? The free people are those who can live their faith in everyday life. Those who can live thier faith in real life situations will find happiness.
Let us strive to live holy and holy lives before God and others. The holy and holy people are close to God. People who always rely on God’s mercy and mercy in their lives. May God always bless us.
