The Seventh Week in Ordinary Time

Dear my friends,
Here is the Gospel for us today according to St. Mark 9:38-40

John said to Jesus, “Teacher, we saw someone driving out demons in your name, and we tried to prevent him because he does not follow us.” Jesus replied, “Do not prevent him. There is no one who performs a mighty deed in my name who can at the same time speak ill of me. For whoever is not against us is for us.”

This is the Gospel of the Lord. Praise to you Lord Jesus Christ.

WE are often so very exclusive in facing the others as John who says with uncontrolled fervor to Jesus, “Teacher, we saw someone driving out demons in your name, and we tried to prevent him because he does not follow us.”

We exclusively think we know what is right. We often make rash judgments without really knowing the full picture and without consulting Jesus first in our prayer.

Thanks to God that Jesus does not hesitate to offer a positive judgment. He always has positive thinking of others for he always possesses a deeper insight.

He reads all actions with a heart of charity for his looking is only to find the very best in each person. He openes our eyes in faith to see he working in people of all backgrounds and faiths. He help us to dismiss all personal, unnecessary judgments with an assumption of charity.

In the Perpetual Adoration of the Eucharist while worshipping Jesus Christ we ask him to have positive thinking to others. There we also learn to see all events with a heart of charity.

Let’s pray: Lord Jesus Christ, we believe in you and in all the expressions of your goodness and love in our life. In the Eucharist you have made yourself our bread you grant us to be eaten and to be adored. Lord, we wish to love you with our adorative prayer and increased charity. Teach us to love with your merciful heart now and forever. Amen.
