Thirty-fourth Week in Ordinary Time

Dear my friends,

Here is the Gospel for us today according to St. Luke 21:29-33

Jesus told his disciples a parable. “Consider the fig tree and all the other trees. When their buds burst open, you see for yourselves and know that summer is now near; in the same way, when you see these things happening, know that the Kingdom of God is near. Amen, I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things have taken place. Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.”

This is the Gospel of the Lord. Praise to you Lord Jesus Christ.

IN today’s Gospel, Jesus Christ invites us to know and to live the Kingdom of God now. Exactly, the Kingdom of God not only will come, but has already been among us.

Now in our daily lives, we pray and work as though we will soon arrive at our goals. We must live with hope, pushing forward with growing confidence that Jesus Christ will bring his Kingdom to fulfillment in us.

In the Perpetual Adoration of the Eucharist, while adoring Jesus Christ we ask him to bring about the Kingdom in our own souls and in the lives of others. There we pray that we may never lose a moment in which to build the Kingdom that comes in us.

Let’s pray: Lord Jesus Christ, give us a greater faith and confidence to experience your Kingdom. May we build your Kingdom with you and always worship you lovingly now and forever. Amen.
