First Friday
First Week of Advent
Dear my friends,
Here is the Gospel for us today according to St. Matthew 9:27-31
As Jesus passed by, two blind men followed him, crying out, “Son of David, have pity on us!” When he entered the house, the blind men approached him and Jesus said to them, “Do you believe that I can do this?” “Yes, Lord,” they said to him. Then he touched their eyes and said, “Let it be done for you according to your faith.” And their eyes were opened. Jesus warned them sternly, “See that no one knows about this.” But they went out and spread word of him through all that land.
This is the Gospel of the Lord. Praise to you Lord Jesus Christ.

IN the Gospel today we encounter Jesus Christ who heals two blind men. They follow him and crying out with attitudes of humility and contrition. They approach him fully aware of their limitations and weaknesses.
Amazingly, those blind men are able to soar high with their wings of faith to Jesus Christ. When Jesus Christ says to them, “Do you believe that I can do this, to heal your blindness?” They say to him, “Yes, Lord, we trust in you!” Based on their faith, Jesus Christ says, “Let it be done for you according to your faith.” Wow, it’s very wonderful! Jesus Christ heals them!
In the Perpetual Adoration of the Eucharist while adoring Jesus Christ we approach him with humility and faith. We want to love him more and to experience within ourselves a profound gratitude. There we say, “Lord Jesus Christ we believe in you. You can do all in our lives.”
Let’s pray: Lord Jesus Christ, we trust in you and want to convince many others to confide in you as well. Help us to see you through the eyes of faith. Heal us from the blindness to see your mercy in our daily lives now and forever. Amen.
